Studying world languages makes us more sensitive to other cultures and increases our understanding and ability in our native cultures.
As students study world languages, they become more aware of the important role that language and culture play in our society.
Students in Spanish will learn basic Spanish greetings as well as numbers, colors, the alphabet, and geography.  Ms. Carrier and Ms. Coyne teach using a method called Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling (TPRS.)  Through this method, students will learn vocabulary and structures for use in telling the class fun stories and will have the chance to write their own original story.  Students will also be able to read short stories in Spanish.
